Founded in 2015, Dharana at Shillim is the world's first holistic wellbeing retreat that seamlessly integrates modern medicine, Ayurveda, and naturopathy, guided by an integrated approach to health and wellbeing. Nestled in an ancient Gond tribal village in Maharashtra, India, this wellness retreat perches majestically on the Sahyadri peaks of the Western Ghats. The resort is located between the Tamhini, Kundalika and Matheran reserve forests, providing an experience that epitomises sustainable living. Named after the Hindi word for absolute focus, Dharana is inspired by the sixth limb of Ashtanga yoga mentioned in Sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

Dharana at Shillim is a short drive from both Pune and Mumbai, making it accessible for international guests. The wellness retreat's location allows guests to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with themselves in nature. Dharana at Shillim is located 90 km from Pune Airport and 100 km from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai). We can arrange a private transfer to Dharana at Shillim upon request. You may also rent a car to reach the resort. The winding roads to Dharana at Shillim, with their breathtaking scenery, make for a beautiful drive through nature.
